Golf Foundation - GolfSixes League 2022 - Registrations close next week.

Trialled in 2017 with the support of Sport England, GolfSixes League was created to give juniors the chance to play in a competitive golf league with other local golf clubs. Its aim was to increase the number of regular players and junior members at golf clubs and our results show the format is working. What’s more, GolfSixes League is attracting youngsters from non-golfing familes.

GolfSixes League involves children playing six holes in pairs using the highly inclusive Texas Scramble format, accumulating points for their team of six. This format is designed for non-handicap players, or 37 and above. The Golf Foundation has a host of resources to support all clubs who are part of a GolfSixes League. (FAQ'S available on the GolfSixes League Log-in page of the Golf Foundation website. Resources include detailed guidance, marketing posters, and scorecards.)

Golf clubs must meet the safeguarding criteria required to deliver GolfSixes League activity. However, if you are not already working through the SafeGolf accreditation please visit the England Golf website here to start this process.GolfSixes in 2021 saw 296 Clubs taking part across the Home Nations, with 4,965 Juniors participating in their local leagues (please see attached the infographic for further highlights).  GolfSixes has gone from strength to strength since its launch 4 years ago, with more Clubs and Juniors wanting to be part of this great experience.  Should your Club wish to express their interest, please complete this online form:
