Seniors Narrowly Miss Out At 6-Man Qualifiers

We had a very successful Six Man Qualifier held at Kingswood GC.  The course was in an outstanding condition.  There was a great performance by the team of Stephen Jensen, Ian Attoe, Keith Waters, Peter Jackson, David Boxall and Ian Barker, to finish in joint second with BB&O and Hampshire only to lose out on count back. Stephen Jensen had an outstanding performance to win the individual gross score.

Sussex got off to a flyer on the first day going 10 points clear.  On the second, Surrey looked like catching Sussex at one stage only to suffer some bad luck on the back nine. Congratulations to Sussex on their win.

Terry Casey did a great job as starter on both days. John Noble was on hand to lend his support and advice. Steve McNeill and Simon Crockett also attended to support the team, as did John Cassidy.

Ashley, the General Manager at Kingswood, and his team looked after all the competitors very well. Thanks to Martin & the team from the South East Group for doing a wonderful job over the three days.

We keep knocking on the door and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
