Enrique Dimayuga Wins Third Consecutive Intercollegiate Individual Title

Surrey First Team player Enrique Dimayuga, now representing Nevada Men’s Golf, continued his outstanding form as of late, recording a 54-hole total of 213 (E) to win the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, his third consecutive individual title!

Enrique recently became the first Nevada Men’s golfer in history to win two straight titles; now, not only is he the only player to claim three consecutive individual championships, but he is also the first Nevada Men's Golfer to win three individual titles in a single season!

At the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, Enrique opened with his best round of the tournament, carding a 69 (-2). He recorded 12 pars, three birdies, and one eagle during the round, meaning that he would begin the second round tied for fourth place.

Enrique then shot a 71 (E) in the second round, placing him in solo second place heading into the third and final round.

Enrique trailed the leader by one stroke heading into the final round, and in difficult weather conditions, he shot a fantastic score of 73 (+2) as he went on to secure his third consecutive individual title by one stroke.

John Noble, Surrey First Team Coach, had a conversation with Enrique to discuss his recent success, in which he said: "I am really glad to be enjoying golf again and playing with some awesome guys at Nevada. The last few years have been tough and really shaped my perspective on the game and life. I have just got into the mindset of trying to enjoy every golf shot and be looking forward to the next one. I just aim to keep on enjoying the game and play with a smile.”

Enrique has been playing some sensational golf as of late for Nevada, and all of us at Surrey Golf wish him the best for the remainder of the season!
