European U18 Team Championships
Kris Kim and Oscar Lent, two Surrey U18s who are both members at Walton Heath Golf Club, represent England as part of a team of 6 in the European Boys' Team Championship, which took place at Diamond Country Club in Austria on the 9th-13th July.
16 teams took part in the event, which began with 2 days of stroke play, where the best 5 out of 6 scores counted.
The top 8 teams after the stroke play stage qualified for the knockout stage of the competition, for which the format was two foursomes matches in the morning, followed by five singles matches in the afternoon.
In their quarter-final match, England beat Finland 4.5-2.5, which they followed by beating Sweden 4-1 in the semi-final (due to a reduced competition because of inclement weather).
The team were eventually beaten 3.5-1.5 by France in the final and took home the silver medal. To view the full results, please click here.
