
We are very fortunate in Surrey to host many professional and top amateur events at various courses. 2025 is a bumper year with several additions to the calendar of old favourites. In many of these events you can be very close to the action often without having to pay!
In chronological order the events are as follows.
11th – 14th March at Sunningdale, Sunningdale Foursomes. This is a unique tournament that was first played in 1934. Played over both the Old & New Courses the tournament receives entries from PGA & European Tour Professionals, former Ryder Cup & Walker Cup players and Major Champions. Amateurs, Professionals, Ladies & Gentlemen are eligible to compete in this Foursomes knockout competition, with any combination of pairings permitted. For more information click here.
19th May at Walton Heath, US Open Qualifying. A unique opportunity to view top professionals close up (for nothing) with 36 holes in the day over both the Old and New courses chasing spots in the US Open.
22nd May – 25th May at Hankley Common, The Brabazon Trophy. The Brabazon Trophy is the English Men's Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship and is open to male amateur golfers of all nationalities. Notable past winners include Masters champions Charl Schwartze l, Sandy Lyle (twice). For more details click here

8th – 11th July at Walton Heath, R&A Senior Amateur Championship. Contested for the first time at Formby in 1969, the R&A Senior Amateur Championship is open to players aged 55 years and over (there are both Men and Ladies competitions). Click here for more details.
21st July – at Burhill, Senior Open Qualifying. With the Seniors Open taking place at Sunningdale later in the week the New Course at Burhill will be hosting a qualifying competition on the Monday.
24th – 27th July at Sunningdale, Senior Open. An opportunity to watch a host of (older) favourites and international stars battling out for this prestigious title. For more details click here
11th – 15th August at Burhill, English Senior Men's Amateur Championship. Top amateur golfers over the age of 55. More info can be found here.
