Player Profile Form

An English Schools Golf Association Parental Consent Form must be submitted for each Player. Entries will not be accepted without this form being completed. The form can be accessed at the following link: Surrey Parental Consent (englishschoolsgolf.org)

Eligibility

All Players MUST attend a Surrey School. The definition of Surrey School includes Schools in Surrey,  the London Boroughs of Croydon, Merton, Lambeth, Richmond upon Thames, Southwark, Sutton, and the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames.

Players must be in receipt of full time education other than Higher Education. Full-time unpaid education is defined for these purposes as attendance at a Primary School, Secondary School, Sixth Form College, Tertiary College or College of Further Education.

Players MUST obtain permission from their School to enter this event.

A Competitor must be 18 years or under on 31st August 2023 with a minimum age of 8 imposed.

Competition Format

All Competitions shall use the Stableford scoring system.

The current Rules of Golf shall apply to all Players, Teams and Competitions. The Surrey Hard Card shall be used in place of Local Rules.

Boys shall play from the Yellow tees.

Girls shall play from the Red tees.

Countback shall be used in the Individual competitions to decide finishing positions if scores are tied.

Teams in the Team competition can comprise Boys or Girls. A Team shall comprise a maximum of three Players. The two highest total Stableford scores from the three Players shall be added together to give a total score. If scores are tied, countback will be used by adding the Stableford points from each of the two highest scoring Players within the Team for each hole and applying countback.

Handicap Limits

All Players shall have a CDH number. This is needed at the point of entry.

Boys: Handicap Index 12.0 to 36.0

Girls: Handicap Index 12.0 to 36.0

Should a Player who has entered the Competition, have a Handicap Index lower or higher on the day of the competition, then they will not be eligible to win prizes or participate in the Team Competition.

Cost of Entry

£30 for each Player.

Entry shall be on a first come first served basis (see Note 2 below regarding Girls). Note: Entry is initially restricted to a maximum of three Players per School. Should additional Players be entered by a School, they will be placed on the reserve list and will be allocated a place should space allow. Refunds will be provided for any Player who does not get allocated a space. Please note that the first three entries received from each School will be those deemed to be the School Team Competition entry.

PLEASE NOTE: Online Payment is required at the time of entry. If you submit your entry without payment your entry will automatically be removed from the draw.

Once the draw has been made any withdrawals will forfeit their entrance fee unless you can find a replacement, or we are able to fill your place. 

Competition Closing Time and Date

Closing time and date: Friday 19th April 2024 (noon).

Catering

Catering for non-players is available from 10am until 2pm. The normal Chipstead menu should be available.

Players will be provided food at the end of their round. This is included in the entry fee. Please advise at time of entry whether a Player has any dietary requirements.

Clothing

Normal golf clothing is to be worn during the competition and whilst in the Clubhouse.

Golf shoes are not permitted to be worn in the Clubhouse bar and restaurant areas. Please ensure that Players have a pair of shoes or trainers with them.

Mobile Phones

Mobile Phones may be used for measuring distance only on the golf course. They may also be used in emergencies or to contact officials whilst a Player is on the course.

Mobile Phones may not, under any circumstances, be used to make phone calls in any part of the Clubhouse.

Caddies

Caddies are not permitted.

Spectators / Team Managers

Spectators and Team Manager must, at all times, remain 25 metres from all Players within a group. This includes after completion of the round up until all scorecards have been signed, returned and checked.

Prizegiving

Prizes will be presented as soon as possible after the last scorecard has been returned and checked. All Teams are requested to remain for the prizegiving out of courtesy towards the prize winners and our guests.

Important Notes

1)      The English Schools Golf Association website is being used for entries and payments. Once the entry is closed the startsheet for both the Boys and Girls competitions will be published on the English Schools Golf Association website at www.englishschoolsgolf.org. Competition results will also be published on the English Schools Golf Association website.

2)      The Girls are guaranteed a minimum of six places.
