The Competition shall be open to all players under the age of 18 on the 31st December of the previous year, who are affiliated members of a Surrey Golf Club. Each Christies Cup team will consist of 3 players (boys or girls), and players may be changed from one round to the next.
The handicap index limit for boys is 28.0, and for girls the handicap index limit is 36.0. Any player with a handicap index over the limits may play, however they must play off the appropriate handicap index limit.
The knockout shall be played over 18 holes as a stableford, played in 2-balls. The WHS Playing Handicap allowance is 95%. The away player in each game will be allowed one extra shot, to be taken after all handicap adjustments have been calculated. If the away player is also a playing member of the home club, this extra shot does not apply. The rest of his team are unaffected, and still receive their additional shot.
The total of the best 2 cards from each team will count. If there is a tie, then the 3rd score will also count. If there is still a tie after the 3rd score, then a sudden death stableford playoff between the first named player in each team will decide the winning team.
The winning club will be invited to go forward to represent the county in the England Golf Club Junior Team Tournament.
All knockouts will be limited to a maximum of 64 teams/players. This shall be managed to a first come basis.
Closing Date: Friday 12th December
